The Executive Chairman of Akure North Local Government, Hon. Johnson Ogunbolude, has approved the appointment of new Supervisory Councilors and Advisers to strengthen governance and enhance grassroots development across the local government area.
In a statement released on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, by the Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Dele Olowoloba, the council chairman said the appointments were made in line with the extant laws establishing the local government system as the third tier of government in Nigeria.
The newly appointed officials are:
- Hon. Fajeminiyi Olusola Isaac – Adviser
- Michael Olawale – Adviser
- Ojo Gabriel – Supervisor
- Omoniyi Jayeola Emmanuel – Supervisor
- Jenyo Martins – Supervisor
- Joseph Olomi Bello – Adviser
- Olowere Adeniyi Clement – Supervisor
Hon. Ogunbolude congratulated the appointees and charged them to view their new roles as a call to selfless service, urging them to work harmoniously with the people and the council administration to deliver the dividends of democracy to every community in Akure North.
He also appealed for their full cooperation and dedication, reminding them that effective governance at the local level depends on teamwork, transparency, and commitment to the welfare of citizens.
The appointments, according to the council, take immediate effect
