President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima will chair the newly constituted All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council ahead of the upcoming electoral season.
The list of campaign officials, made public in a statement by Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, details key leadership appointments aimed at steering the governing party’s efforts.
Under the structure announced, President Tinubu serves as Chairman of the council, assisted by Vice President Shettima and APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yilwatda as Vice Chairmen.
Former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has been named Director-General of the campaign council, while Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma will operate as Secretary. They are supported in the secretariat by APC National Secretary Senator Ajibola Bashiru as Deputy Secretary and Hadiza Bala-Usman as Assistant Secretary.
A distinguished advisory body working directly with the council chairman includes Chief Bisi Akande, Chief Segun Osoba, Senator Rochas Okorocha, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, and Senator Florence Ita Giwa. Zonal leadership and operational direction will be handled by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker Tajudeen Abass, and Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni as Deputy Director-Generals for the South and North, assisted by Senator Bamidele Opeyemi and Senator Jibril Barau.
Mobilisation and administrative efforts will be led by Senator Adams Oshiomhole as Deputy Director-General for Mobilisation and the President’s Chief of Staff as Deputy Director-General for Administration.
James Abiodun Faleke returns as Deputy Director-General for Election Planning, Coordination and Monitoring, working alongside regional directors including Senator Olushola Adeyeye for the South West, Dr. Ngozi Olejeme for the South South, Senator Uche Ekwunife for the South East, Muntaqha Rabe for the North West, Ahmed Muhammed Ketso for the North Central, and Senator Sani Danladi for the North East.
The election planning directorate will be managed by secretaries Ms. Stella Okotete, Engineer Abdullahi Garba Ramat, and Audu Maikori.
The legal directorate will be headed by Muiz Adeyemi Banire, supported by deputies Dr. Liman Hassan and Babatunde Ogala, alongside members Prince Lateef Fagbemi, former Governor Ibrahim Shema, Worgu Boms, and Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh.
Strategic communication and media oversight will be led by Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris Malagi as Coordinating Director, working with Dele Alake, Bayo Onanuga, and Lanre Issa-Onilu.
Coordinating Deputy Directors for media include Tunde Rahman, Sunday Dare, Daniel Bwala, and Felix Morka, while Abdulaziz AbdulAziz, Temitope Ajayi, Arabinrin Aderonke, and Frederick Nwabufor serve as Coordinating Secretaries. Segun Dada continues in his role as Director of New Media alongside Solomon Arowolo as Secretary.
Additionally, Dele Alake leads a five-member spokesperson team comprising Alwan Hassan, Ayobami Oyalowo, Kemi Asekun-Shittu, and Adamu Fanda.
President Tinubu urged all appointed members and broader party stakeholders to mobilize effectively, emphasizing the administration’s economic record and achievements as central pillars for the campaign.
