The Police Service Commission (PSC) has released the names of successful applicants for the recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables into the Nigeria Police Force, marking the completion of one of the country’s largest police recruitment exercises.
According to the Commission, the successful candidates emerged after a transparent, inclusive and merit-based selection process conducted in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, the Federal Character Commission, the Ministry of Police Affairs, State Career and Counselling Departments, and the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC).
The PSC advised all applicants who participated in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) to visit the official police recruitment portal from Thursday, July 16, 2026, to check the status of their applications.
The Commission also disclosed that successful candidates would receive notifications through their registered email addresses and phone numbers, informing them of their provisional admission into the Nigeria Police Force.
Candidates offered provisional admission have been directed to report to their designated Police Training Institutions on dates to be announced for documentation and medical screening. They are expected to present all required credentials and other relevant documents as specified on the recruitment portal.
The recruitment exercise is part of the Federal Government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the operational capacity of the Nigeria Police Force by increasing manpower and improving security across the country. The Commission reiterated its commitment to ensuring fairness, transparency and merit in the recruitment process.
