The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expelled the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, its suspended National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, and former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose.
The expulsion was announced on Saturday at the party’s national convention currently taking place in Ibadan, Oyo State, scheduled for November 15 and 16.
The decision followed internal deliberations by party leaders who accused the affected members of engaging in actions considered detrimental to the unity and progress of the PDP.
Their removal was met with mixed reactions within the convention grounds, with some delegates applauding the action while others expressed concern about the implications for party cohesion.
