The Ondo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has inaugurated a seven-member planning committee to organize the 2025 Media/Press Week celebrations.
The committee, chaired by Banjo Egunjobi with Jacob Akintunde as secretary, also includes Adedotun Ajayi, Olufisoye Adenitan, Kunle Ajibogun, and Omoriola Hungbeji, while the State Secretary will represent the State Executive Council.
According to a statement signed by the Council’s Secretary, Olaoluwa Meshack, this year’s Media/Press Week will hold between December 14 and 21, 2025.
Inaugurating the committee at the NUJ Press Centre in Akure, the State Chairman, Prince Leke Adegbite, urged members to work collectively to ensure a successful and memorable celebration.
He stressed the importance of promoting the union’s interests while upholding professionalism.
Responding, the committee chairman, Banjo Egunjobi, expressed appreciation to the union’s leadership for the confidence reposed in them and pledged that the committee would deliver a robust and impactful Press Week.
The committee also appealed for the support of members and stakeholders to ensure the 2025 edition surpasses expectations.
