The lawmaker also commended the APC National Working Committee for conducting a credible primary process and applauded the party’s Appeal Committee for ensuring fairness.
He equally praised the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for his leadership and support, describing him as a committed leader contributing to the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Reaffirming his commitment to delivering more dividends of democracy, Odimayo highlighted key achievements recorded during his tenure, including the employment of 42 youths into the Federal Civil Service, construction of the Igbisin–Oloto–Sabomi Road and the Olofoyekun/Ojomo Road, establishment of a solar-powered modern medical laboratory, construction of a six-classroom block at Arerin Grammar School and several other constituency projects.
He disclosed that work on a 20-bed ultra-modern hospital in Ode-Irele is progressing steadily, while the remodelling of Idepe Town Hall is scheduled to commence later this month. He also announced plans for a mega empowerment programme aimed at benefiting party members and residents across the constituency.
Calling for unity within the APC, Odimayo revealed that he had reached out to other aspirants who contested the primary, urging all members to put the party’s interest above personal ambitions ahead of the 2027 elections. Drawing from his experience during the Ondo APC governorship primary, he appealed to aggrieved members to embrace sportsmanship and work together for victory.
He further urged constituents to sustain their support for President Tinubu, expressing confidence that the Renewed Hope Agenda would continue to drive national development and economic recovery.
Several party leaders who addressed the reception commended Odimayo’s performance in office and urged APC members to remain united. They described his emergence as the party’s candidate as a reflection of the confidence reposed in his leadership and called on members to work collectively to secure victory for all APC candidates in the 2027 General Elections.
