The Executive Chairman of Akure North Local Government, Hon. Johnson Ogunbolude, has praised Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for his forward-thinking leadership and unwavering commitment to driving foreign investment, bolstering the state’s economy, and tackling pressing infrastructure challenges.
Hon. Ogunbolude categorized the Governor’s high-level diplomatic missions to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) headquarters in Rome and key industrial hubs in Amsterdam as a testament to proactive governance.
He emphasized that strategic discussions centered on cocoa processing, agricultural technology transfer, and agribusiness investment will unlock significant job creation and firmly establish Ondo State, including agrarian belts like Akure North, as a premier agro-industrial powerhouse.
Furthermore, the Council Boss commended Governor Aiyedatiwa’s persistent efforts to secure long-term, eco-friendly interventions for coastal erosion and severe sea incursions threatening Aiyetoro and neighboring Ilaje communities, highlighting that safeguarding vulnerable populations and local ecosystems remains vital to the state’s collective economic stability.
Aligning the local government’s vision with the state’s broader agenda, Hon. Ogunbolude reaffirmed Akure North’s commitment to advancing grassroot development. He highlighted ongoing local government priority projects, including targeted repairs of critical rural feeder roads to facilitate farm produce evacuation, public primary school and health infrastructure upgrades, agricultural revolution and policy framework alignment designed to attract direct investment into the local council area.
Expressing unalloyed confidence in the state administration’s direction, Hon. Ogunbolude affirmed that these international and state-level partnerships will yield actionable dividends for the people of Akure North and Ondo State at large.
