The Executive Chairman of Akure North Local Government, Hon. Johnson Ogunbolude, has congratulated the Okiti of Iju Land, His Royal Majesty, Oba Amos Adelakun Farukanmi JP, Ajigbade I, on the occasion of his 82nd birthday and the 38th anniversary of his coronation.
In a congratulatory message issued on Friday, Hon. Ogunbolude described the twin celebration as a remarkable milestone that reflects the monarch’s enduring legacy of leadership, service, and commitment to the development of Iju Land and Akure North at large.
The council boss praised Oba Ajigbade I for his exemplary reign, noting that the traditional ruler has remained a symbol of wisdom, unity, and cultural preservation throughout his 38 years on the throne
. According to him, the monarch’s leadership has continued to foster peace, communal harmony, and sustainable progress within the community.
Hon. Ogunbolude commended the Okiti for his dedication to the welfare of his people and his consistent efforts at promoting cultural values and social cohesion, describing his reign as a model of visionary and selfless traditional leadership.
He offered prayers for continued good health, strength, and divine wisdom for the monarch, expressing optimism that Oba Ajigbade I would continue to guide his people with grace and fortitude in the years ahead.
The Executive Chairman also called on residents of Akure North and well-wishers across the state to join the royal family and the people of Iju Land in celebrating what he described as an inspiring life of service and an illustrious reign that has positively impacted generations.
