Ondo State Governor, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has been decorated as the Grand Patron of the Tinubu Support Group (TSG) in recognition of his loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his administration’s remarkable achievements across the state.
The investiture ceremony, held on Friday at the Cocoa Conference Hall, Governor’s Office, Akure, was part of the TSG’s visit to inaugurate its Ondo State executives and strengthen grassroots mobilisation for President Tinubu’s agenda.
Leading the delegation, the National Director General of the Tinubu Support Group, Alhaji Umaru Tanko Yakassai, who represented the group’s National Convener, Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, praised Governor Aiyedatiwa for his exemplary leadership and commitment to progressive governance.
Yakassai commended the governor for his administration’s strides in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and youth empowerment, noting that the visible transformation in Akure reflects Aiyedatiwa’s dedication to the people.
“Since I arrived in Akure, I have seen massive transformation – roads with drainages and streetlights, ongoing construction works, and the general beauty of this city all show that the governor is working tirelessly,” Yakassai said. “He has given hope to the youth, women, and elderly through people-centred programmes. This shows that Ondo State has a leader in tune with President Tinubu’s vision.”
He also described Ondo State as a model of political stability and loyalty within the APC, lauding the governor’s steadfast support for the President’s continuity in office.
In his remarks, Governor Aiyedatiwa thanked the group for the honour, describing it as an encouragement to sustain his administration’s developmental drive and deepen collaboration with the Federal Government.
“Our administration shares the same vision with Mr. President -building sustainable systems that work for the people,” the governor said. “We are implementing programmes that improve lives, expand opportunities, and drive inclusive growth. The synergy between the federal and state governments is producing results the people can feel.”
Reaffirming his loyalty to President Tinubu and the APC, Aiyedatiwa noted that Ondo State remains a stronghold of the progressive party, citing the 2024 governorship election victory across all 18 local government areas as proof of unity and public trust.
Former Minister of State for Transport, Prince Ademola Adegoroye, in his vote of thanks, described Governor Aiyedatiwa as a calm, focused, and dependable leader who has restored stability and confidence in governance.
He pledged the TSG’s continued mobilisation efforts across the 18 local government areas, assuring that the group would take the message of progress and continuity to every community in Ondo State.
