BUA Gypsum Plaster Ltd., a subsidiary of BUA Group, has officially commenced operations at its cutting-edge Plaster of Paris (P.O.P) and plasterboard manufacturing facility in Port Harcourt.
The state-of-the-art plant, with a production capacity of 2,400 tons per day, is now the largest gypsum powder production facility in Nigeria.
This landmark project is poised to significantly enhance local production capacity, address the surging demand for gypsum plaster products, and reduce the country’s dependence on imports.
Speaking at the launch, Abdul Samad Rabiu, Chairman of BUA Group, emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting Nigeria’s industrial growth.
“We are proud to unveil this world-class facility that represents a significant step in our ongoing mission to drive local manufacturing and industrial self-reliance in Nigeria. This plant will not only meet domestic demand but also create jobs and foster economic growth in the region,” he said.
