The Federal Government has directed the immediate closure of 41 Federal Unity Colleges across the country following heightened security concerns, particularly in the northern region.
The precautionary measure is aimed at safeguarding students and staff amid fears of potential attacks on schools.
The decision follows intelligence reports and security assessments indicating increased vulnerability of learning institutions in some states. The Ministry of Education issued the directive, ordering affected schools to suspend academic activities and release students to their families until further notice.
The Federal Government emphasized that the temporary closure is a proactive step to prevent any compromise of student safety, noting that security agencies are currently working to stabilize the affected areas.
