Ondo State Commissioner for Regional Integration and Diaspora Relations, Otunba Wale Akinlosotu, has praised Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa following a Federal Government award recognizing the administration’s transformative contributions to the state’s education sector.
Akinlosotu described the national honor as a testament to purposeful leadership and sustained investment in human capital. Under Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration, the state recruited more than 2,000 public school teachers and renovated, constructed, and upgraded numerous school facilities across Ondo State to improve learning conditions.
The administration also approved ₦633.918 million for 2026 WASSCE registration fees for public secondary school students, alongside ₦400 million in scholarships, bursaries, and financial assistance benefiting 13,360 tertiary students.
Beyond student aid, the state incentivized excellence by granting automatic employment to seven outstanding NYSC awardees and raising funding subventions for state-owned tertiary institutions while implementing union agreements to improve staff welfare.
Dedicating the award to teachers across the state, Governor Aiyedatiwa reaffirmed his commitment to building a resilient educational foundation, a stance Akinlosotu noted aligns with Ondo State’s longstanding legacy of academic excellence.
