Former National President of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), Professor Dayo Faduyile, OON, has expressed confidence in emerging as the candidate for the Ondo South Senatorial bye-election, stating that his experience, competence and longstanding service to the people place him in a strong position to secure the mandate and deliver quality representation for the district.
Faduyile, a respected academic, medical expert and administrator, is seeking to occupy the senatorial seat formerly held by Senator Jimoh Ibrahim following his recent appointment as Nigeria’s representative to the United Nations.
Political stakeholders and supporters across Ondo South project Faduyile as a candidate whose credentials, leadership experience and administrative capacity distinguish him among contenders in the race.
Described by supporters as a man of competence, merit and capacity, Faduyile is widely known for his contributions to healthcare development, public service and policy advocacy over the years.
The former NMA president also served in key advisory roles in Ondo State and has remained active in political and professional engagements aimed at improving governance and public welfare.
Speaking during earlier consultations with party leaders and supporters, Faduyile emphasized the need for experienced and visionary leadership capable of sustaining quality representation and attracting meaningful development to Ondo South.
According to him, the senatorial district deserves purposeful representation built on integrity, accessibility, competence and commitment to the people.
Professor Dayo Faduyile is expected to contest the APC senatorial primary alongside former Ondo State Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Oladunni Odu, and other aspirants jostling to secure the party’s ticket for the Ondo South Senatorial bye-election.
