The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has outlined a step-by-step process for Nigerians to retrieve and download their National Identification Number (NIN) slips online free of charge using the official NINAuth mobile application.
The commission explained that the self-service digital option is designed to improve accessibility and eliminate unnecessary physical visits to NIMC enrolment centers, as well as protect citizens from paying extortionate fees to unauthorized third-party agents.
Step-by-Step Guide: How to Download Your NIN Slip Free
According to operational guidelines released by NIMC on its official channels, registered NIN holders can download their verified slips by following five simple steps:
1. Download the NINAuth App: Visit the Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS) and search for NINAuth (published by NIMC).
2. Launch the Application: Open the NINAuth application on your smartphone and sign in using your 11-digit NIN.
3. Navigate to Additional Features: On the main dashboard, tap the option labeled “Do More with NINAuth”.
4. Select Identity Service: Choose “NIN Slip” from the list of available self-service features.
5. Complete Facial Authentication: Complete the brief on-device facial verification process using your smartphone camera. Upon successful biometrics confirmation, your official NIN slip will be generated as a downloadable PDF file ready for saving or printing.

“It is that simple, it is free, available, and a few taps away. Get yours today,” NIMC stated, reinforcing that the service requires no hidden charges.
