National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has inaugurated the national executive committee of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) Door-to-Door Movement, declaring that the outcome of the 2027 general elections will determine the future direction of Nigeria.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony in Abuja, Yilwatda described the movement as a strategic grassroots mobilisation platform established to deepen public engagement with the policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration while strengthening the party’s support base across the country.
He urged members of the newly inaugurated executive to take the Renewed Hope Agenda directly to Nigerians by embarking on intensive door-to-door campaigns, community meetings and voter education programmes.
According to him, the task before the movement goes beyond politics, stressing that it is about ensuring the continuity of reforms aimed at repositioning the nation’s economy and governance.
The APC chairman said the Tinubu administration had embarked on difficult but necessary reforms to stabilise the economy, improve infrastructure, strengthen security and expand opportunities for young people, insisting that such policies require continuity to achieve their full impact.
Yilwatda called on members of the movement to remain committed, disciplined and united, urging them to counter misinformation by engaging citizens with facts about the administration’s programmes and achievements.
He emphasised that the 2027 elections would be one of the most consequential in Nigeria’s history, saying voters would decide whether to sustain the ongoing reforms or reverse the progress recorded so far.
Responding on behalf of the newly inaugurated executives, leaders of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement pledged to mobilise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory through sustained grassroots campaigns, political education and community outreach initiatives.
The movement said it would work with party structures at the ward, local government and state levels to expand the APC’s support base ahead of the 2027 general elections, expressing confidence that widespread grassroots mobilisation would contribute significantly to the party’s electoral success.
