The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its timetable for the 2027 general elections, outlining key dates for the sale of nomination forms and the conduct of its primary elections across all elective positions.
According to the schedule, the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms will take place at the APC National Secretariat from Saturday, April 25 to Saturday, May 2, 2026.
The party also announced the fees for aspirants seeking to contest under its platform. The presidential form is pegged at ₦100 million, while governorship aspirants are expected to pay ₦50 million.
Aspirants for the Senate will pay ₦20 million, those for the House of Representatives ₦10 million, and State House of Assembly hopefuls ₦6 million.
The timetable further details the sequence of primary elections. The presidential primary is scheduled for Friday, May 15 to Saturday, May 16, 2026.
This will be followed by the House of Representatives primaries on Monday, May 18, and the Senate primaries on Wednesday, May 20.
Primaries for State Houses of Assembly are slated for Thursday, May 21, while governorship primaries will conclude the exercise on Saturday, May 23, 2026.
The release of the timetable signals the party’s early preparation for the 2027 elections, setting the stage for what is expected to be a competitive nomination process within the ruling party.
Party officials say the outlined schedule is aimed at ensuring a smooth, transparent, and timely conduct of primaries in line with electoral guidelines.
