The Executive Chairman of Akure North Local Government, Hon. Ogunbolude Johnson has joined the people of Ondo State in celebrating the state’s 50th anniversary, describing the milestone as a moment of gratitude, reflection and renewed commitment to progress.
In a congratulatory message to mark the Golden Jubilee, Hon. Ogunbolude lauded the vision, sacrifices and enduring legacies of Ondo State’s founding fathers, past heroes and heroines, whose efforts, he said, laid a solid foundation for the state’s growth and development.
The Chairman also commended successive administrations for sustaining the ideals of the state’s founders, with special praise for the current government under the leadership of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa. He applauded the governor’s proactive and people-focused approach to governance, noting that it reflects a strong commitment to securing a better present and future for Ondo State.
Hon. Ogunbolude further acknowledged the vital role of the younger generation, describing them as a formidable force and the hope of the state’s future. He urged them to remain engaged, responsible and supportive of policies and programmes aimed at sustainable development.
He expressed appreciation to the people of Akure North Local Government for their law-abiding disposition, cooperation and continuous support for government at all levels, which he said has contributed to peace and stability in the area.
The Chairman called on all indigenes of Ondo State to continue supporting the government across all tiers, stressing that unity and collective effort are essential to harnessing the state’s God-given resources and enjoying the dividends of good governance.
He concluded with prayers that the labour of Ondo State’s heroes and heroines would never be in vain, while wishing the state and the Federal Republic of Nigeria continued peace, unity and prosperity.
