The Chairman of Akure North Local Government, Hon. Ogunbolude Johnson, has extended Christmas greetings to residents of the council area, both at home and in the diaspora, while expressing gratitude for their continued support and cooperation with his administration.
In his Christmas message, the council chairman described the season as a time of joy, reflection and thanksgiving, noting that the achievements recorded by the local government over the past year were made possible through the law-abiding disposition and unwavering support of the people.
Hon. Ogunbolude commended residents for standing firmly with the administration at the local, state and federal levels, stressing that their cooperation played a vital role in the successes recorded during the year.
“As your chairman, it is important for me to celebrate this season with you, having remained peaceful, supportive and committed to the progress of Akure North Local Government,” he said, adding that he was deeply grateful for the trust reposed in his leadership.
The council boss urged residents to celebrate the Christmas season responsibly and within the confines of the law, while also encouraging them to use the period to pray for continued progress, good governance and greater benefits for the people.
He further appealed to residents to extend love and support to the less privileged during the festive season, regardless of how little, noting that the true essence of Christmas lies in sharing and compassion.
