The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
According to the official statistics released on Monday, out of the 1,955,069 candidates who sat for the exam, over 1.5 million scored below 200.
The examination, which commenced on Thursday, April 24, saw over 1.5 million of the 1,955,069 candidates score below 200, according to statistics released by JAMB.
The statistics indicated that only 420,415 candidates scored above 200 in the 2025 edition of the UTME.
The data showed that 75 per cent of the candidates scored below 200 in the exam, with less than 1% scoring above 300.
In the statement accompanying the data, JAMB said, “40,247 underage candidates were permitted to demonstrate their exceptional abilities. However, only 467 of these candidates (1.16%) achieved scores that meet the threshold for exceptional ability as defined for the UTME, with their performance in the subsequent three stages still pending.
How to Check Your 2025 UTME Results
1. Checking Online (Via Website):
- Go to the JAMB Portal: Open your browser and visit https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/login.
- Log in: Enter your email address and the password you used to register.
- See Your Result: Click the “Check UTME Results” button to view your scores.
2. Checking by SMS:
- Open your text message app: On your phone, open the messaging app.
- Send a message: Type RESULT followed by your JAMB Registration Number (in one message) and send it to 55019 or 66019.
- Get your result: You’ll get an SMS with your scores.
- Note: This method costs ₦50, which will be taken from your phone credit.
