Former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kola Ologbondiyan, has formally withdrawn his membership from the party, marking the end of his long association with its national leadership.
Ologbondiyan announced his exit in a letter addressed to the chairman of his ward, Okekoko Ward 09, Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area in Kogi State.
He explained that his decision followed a personal evaluation of his political activities within the party. He also expressed appreciation to PDP leaders across various levels for the roles he played while serving.
The former spokesperson, who also served as Director of Media and Publicity for the PDP Presidential Campaign Council in 2019, did not reveal his next political destination.
His resignation comes at a time when the PDP is witnessing notable defections as the political landscape continues to shift ahead of the 2027 elections.
Sources within the Kogi political circle hint that Ologbondiyan may be heading to the Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) in the coming days.
Although he has not publicly confirmed his next move, party insiders claim ongoing discussions are already taking place between him and influential stakeholders of the ADC, raising speculations that he could be positioning himself for a strategic role ahead of the next election cycle.
