The Assembly Complex of ondo state was turned to a film location by the Honourable members on Monday 10th November ,2025 , which ran through the week over a re-ordered budget of well over #400b that was sent to the House by the governor , Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
The said Budget divided the House when Twelve out of Twenty six , rejected the budget proposal , accusing the speaker , Rt Hon Olamide Oladiji of financial misappropriation and some other allegations.
To a large extent , the twelve were demanding for the removal of the speaker for playing to the Executive’s gallery ,neglecting and setting aside all other essential demands of the House.
It was a real thug -of-war through out the week which a lot of press releases and counter- releases were issued just within the House in favour and against the speaker.
This political” brouhaha” has caused a lot of embarrassment to the good people of ondo state, therefore ,apology should be tendered.
The people of the state most especially from various constituents across boards were highly disappointed because , the fight did not in anyway come in favour of the citizens but rather in their personal gains.
The budget has eventually been passed but the scars remain indelible in the hearts of ondo state people.
Ondo state is a land of honour and integrity which must be treated as such. No individual or group should undermine the integrity for their selfish gains.
It will be honourable on the part of the members ,including the speaker, to as a matter of urgency, apologize to the good people of ondo state both within and in diaspora over this shameful and embarrassing acts of the Members.
