The Executive Chairman of Akure North Local Government Area, Hon. Ogunbolude Johnson, has called on political stakeholders, community leaders, and residents across Ondo State to rally around Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa to ensure effective governance.
In a press statement issued from the council headquarters at Iju/Ita-Ogbolu, the local government chief emphasized that Governor Aiyedatiwa requires a peaceful atmosphere and a conducive working environment to deliver on his mandate.
He noted that the electorate has entrusted the governor with the leadership of the state, making it imperative for all hands to be on deck for sustained progress.
Addressing the political climate, Hon. Ogunbolude warned against unnecessary distractions, political bitterness, and divisive tendencies, stating that such actions could hamper the pace of development and impede the delivery of democratic dividends.
He stressed that development can only flourish where there is peace, unity, and mutual understanding among the citizens.
The council chairman highlighted the governor’s consistent dedication to people-centered governance, economic stability, and sustainable growth. He urged all well-meaning residents to set aside personal and political interests in favor of the overall development of the state.
Hon. Ogunbolude emphasized that key sectors requiring collective backing include infrastructure, agriculture, education, healthcare, youth empowerment, and economic expansion.
He urged citizens to remain law-abiding, encourage constructive engagement, and join hands with the administration to build a prosperous future for Ondo State.
