Arsenal have engaged in direct discussions with Galatasaray over a potential deal for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.
The North London side shifted focus to Osimhen as alternative target negotiations hit deadlocks, with reports indicating Galatasaray raised the forward’s availability during talks regarding player moves between the two clubs.
Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have also tracked the 27-year-old, but Arsenal currently hold the most active interest as they look to add a proven goalscorer before the summer transfer deadline.
Simultaneously, Barcelona have submitted an improved offer worth €60 million (£51 million) plus performance add-ons to Manchester City for Spanish midfielder Rodri.
Following an initial bid rejected by the English champions, Barcelona increased their proposal to secure the defensive anchor, who has indicated a strong desire to return to Spain.
Manchester City are evaluating options in response, identifying Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández as a potential replacement should the transfer finalize.
