The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has officially produced Nenuwa Olusola Rawlings as its candidate for the Irele State Constituency seat in the Ondo State House of Assembly election.
Rawlings a leading and grassroots politician emerged as the party’s candidate following the completion of the party’s nomination process attended by party leaders, executives, and stakeholders across Irele Local Government Area.
In his acceptance message shortly after emerging as candidate, Rawlings expressed gratitude to party leaders, ward chairmen, local government executives, women and youth leaders, as well as members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Irele who aligned with the APM movement.
“To God alone be the glory. I am deeply humbled by the love, support, encouragement, and confidence shown towards this project,” he said.
The APM candidate reaffirmed his commitment to delivering quality representation and pursuing what he described as a mission for a better Irele State Constituency.
He also commended officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), and the Department of State Services (DSS) for their presence and conduct during the exercise.
Rawlings urged his supporters not to lose hope but remain committed to the political movement ahead of the 2027 elections.
“Let us continue this journey together with renewed strength, determination, and hope until victory is achieved,” he stated.
The development sets the stage for a keen political contest in Irele Constituency, as Rawlings is expected to face Barrister Dele Akinyelure, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the forthcoming election.
