Dutch giants Ajax have reached a club-to-club agreement with Wolverhampton Wanderers to sign Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare on an initial season-long loan with a buy option package valued slightly over €20 million (£17 million).
Ajax identified the 25-year-old forward as their primary target to bolster their attacking options and are currently working with Wolves to finalize paperwork, medical scheduling, and personal terms.
The move comes after a turbulent spell for Arokodare at Molineux following his £24 million transfer from Belgian club KRC Genk in the summer of 2025.
After Wolves suffered relegation from the Premier League last season, tension escalated when the forward was involved in training ground disputes regarding his role in first-team sessions.
Having registered six goals in 38 appearances during his debut campaign in England, Arokodare is now set to rebuild his form in the Eredivisie with Ajax.
