The Chairman of Akure North Local Government, Hon. Ogunbolude Johnson, has congratulated Muslim faithful in the council area on the occasion of the 2026 Eid-el-Adha celebration, urging them to offer prayers for Nigeria’s peace and security.
In a press statement issued on Wednesday, the council boss expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting Muslims the opportunity to witness another Sallah celebration, praying for continuous peace, mercy and prosperity across the nation.
Hon. Johnson acknowledged the various challenges confronting the country, particularly insecurity, and called on residents to use the festive period to pray fervently for Nigeria to overcome its difficulties.
He stressed that collective efforts and patriotism remained crucial to building the nation of everyone’s dream, adding that government at all levels required the support and cooperation of citizens to succeed.
The chairman also assured residents of Akure North that his administration remained committed to fulfilling its electoral promises, noting that no effort would be spared in delivering meaningful development across the local government.
He further urged the people to remain hopeful, support government policies and continue to uphold peaceful coexistence within their communities.
Hon. Johnson wished Muslim faithful in Akure North and beyond a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Adha celebration, saying, “Barka da Sallah.”
