The Bamidele Omosehin Foundation (BOF) has announced the commencement of registration for the 2025 BOF Unity Cup (6th Edition), an annual football tournament aimed at promoting grassroots sports development, unity, and youth empowerment in the Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency of Ondo State.
According to the organizers led by Mr Led by Mr Bukunmi Akinnubi, registration for interested football clubs will run from Wednesday, October 22 to Friday, October 31, 2025, while a football clinic is scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, ahead of the tournament kickoff on Thursday, November 6, 2025.
The founder of the foundation, High Chief Bamidele Omosehin, Lisa of Osooro Kingdom said the Unity Cup represents his continued commitment to developing local football talents and fostering peace and unity among youths in the area.
Since its inception, the program has recorded tremendous success and has been adjudged the most well-organized and consistent sports development initiative in Ondo State.
Many young players discovered through the tournament have gone on to feature in higher-level competitions within and outside the state.
“This tournament is more than just football; it’s a platform for discovery, growth, and social cohesion. We are proud of how far it has come and the positive impact it continues to make,” Omosehin stated.
Participation in the 2025 edition remains free of charge, with the event expected to attract large crowds and strong community support across the coastal axis of the state.
