The Federal Ministry of Interior has announced a major review of its recruitment guidelines to ensure that 35% of all new intakes across its agencies are women, in line with the government’s gender inclusion agenda.
The Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the announcement while also cautioning Nigerians against falling victim to fraudulent recruitment schemes.
“This is to appeal to Nigerians not to patronise scammers. Anybody asking you to pay money to be recruited into any of the agencies is a scam. We are aware of their activities and we will go after them,” the Minister warned.
The ministry assured the public of a transparent and merit-based recruitment process.
The Nigerian government, under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu, through the @CDCFIBNG, earlier announced the opening of a recruitment portal for employment opportunities. In line with the President’s promise, 30,000 young Nigerians are expected to be employed.
