Under the leadership of Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, operatives apprehended 11 suspects, recovered two stolen vehicles, three firearms, 25 ATM cards, multiple mobile phones, and electrical materials, while impounding eight vehicles for traffic obstruction.
The operations began on September 17, 2026, when detectives attached to the Owode Egba Division acted on intelligence following a theft reported a day earlier. Police recovered a stolen commercial TVS motorcycle at Mokoloki Village and arrested two suspects, Rasheed Abdul and Saula Meshinoye, while a third accomplice identified simply as Saheed escaped and remains at large.
In another operation on September 19, 2026, operatives from the Olorunda Division intercepted three men along Ayetoro Road riding a motorcycle loaded with suspected stolen electrical items. The police arrested 19-year-old Mutiu Gafar and 37-year-old Fatai Obasanmi, though another suspect, Tosin, managed to flee the scene. Recovered items included bundles of electrical wiring, a change-over box, and a circuit breaker box stolen from a nearby residential home.
Anti-crime operations continued on September 21, 2026, when SWAT operatives from Base 7 in Abule-Iroko intercepted an unregistered tricycle and an unregistered TVS motorcycle near Dalemo, Ota. Three suspects—30-year-old Olamide Ayandele, 40-year-old Tope Samuel, and 30-year-old Ayo Peter Ojo—were taken into custody after preliminary investigations linked them to vehicle thefts along the Ijoko axis.
In Igbesa, police detectives apprehended 45-year-old Ameachine Anthony on September 22, 2026, over his involvement in an alleged ₦2.5 million financial fraud.
