The Ondo State chapter of the City Boy Movement has officially inaugurated its new State Executive Council at The Dome, Alagbaka, Akure, marking a major step toward strengthening political structures across the state.
The inauguration ceremony brought together key political figures, youth groups, party leaders, and delegates from all 18 Local Government Areas. Sworn in by the National Leader of the movement, Hon. Francis Shoga, along with members of the National Executive Council, the newly inaugurated leadership body is charged with driving civic education, voter registration advocacy, and direct community engagement ahead of upcoming political cycles.
Leading the newly formed Ondo executive council is State Director Oluwafemi Ayejusunle, alongside State Coordinator Hon. Tomide Akinribido and Director of Media and Communications Oluyemi Fasipe. Other executive appointees include State Women Coordinator Hon. Wunmi Fayemi-Obayelu, State Treasurer Temitope Iwagun, and Director of Special Duties Abiodun Oriade.
The movement also designated Bukunmi Olagbegi as State Patron, while naming Seyi Tinubu as the Grand Patron.
Addressing the gathering, State Director Oluwafemi Ayejusunle stated that the movement’s primary focus is to build an unassailable grassroots network across every ward and local government area in Ondo State.
Ayejusunle emphasized that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration is laying a solid foundation for long-term economic stability and national growth, noting that securing his re-election in 2027 will guarantee the continuation and delivery of vital developmental projects for the people of Ondo State and Nigeria at large.
He declared an ambitious mandate for the state chapter to mobilize over one million votes to exceed previous election turnouts.
The organizers noted that the successful execution of the event was driven by 11 specialized planning committees, including a central committee co-chaired by Temitope Eladiya with Adeniyi Paul serving as secretary, alongside dedicated media, logistics, and contact sub-committees.
Following the official induction, the newly inaugurated executive council is set to begin immediate deployment across all 18 local government areas.
