The National Youth Wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima on his renomination as the party’s vice-presidential candidate for the 2027 general election, describing the decision as a reward for competence, loyalty and exemplary service to the nation.
In a statement issued by the APC National Youth Leader, Dr. Dayo Israel, the youth wing said Shettima’s renomination alongside President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reflects the party’s confidence in a tested leadership partnership that has driven the Renewed Hope Agenda over the past three years.
According to the statement, the Vice President has distinguished himself through unwavering commitment, humility, intellectual capacity and dedication to national development, earning the trust of the party leadership and Nigerians.
The youth wing noted that Shettima’s calm disposition, wealth of experience and steadfast support for President Tinubu have strengthened governance and contributed significantly to the administration’s efforts at economic recovery, national unity and institutional development.
Dr. Israel stated that the APC believes leadership should be anchored on service, teamwork, character and performance, adding that the Vice President’s renomination sends a strong signal that these values remain the foundation of the ruling party.
He recalled that members of the National Working Committee formally received the nomination forms in Abuja, describing the event as more than a routine political exercise but a reaffirmation of confidence in the Tinubu-Shettima partnership.
