The candidate of the All Progressives Congress for the Ondo South Senatorial District rerun election, Dayo Faduyile, has expressed appreciation to party leaders and members following his emergence as the APC flagbearer for the forthcoming by-election.
Faduyile described his victory at the party primary as a collective triumph for the APC family, saying the overwhelming support he received reflected the confidence reposed in his aspiration to represent the district in the Senate.
He particularly commended Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for providing what he described as a level playing field and an enabling democratic atmosphere that ensured a peaceful and transparent primary process.
According to him, the governor’s commitment to participatory democracy further strengthened the credibility of the exercise and deepened internal democracy within the party in the state.
Faduyile also paid glowing tribute to the immediate past senator representing Ondo South, Jimoh Ibrahim, for laying a solid foundation of quality representation and impactful leadership in the district.
He pledged to build on the achievements and legislative strides of the former senator if elected in the rerun election to complete the ongoing term in the 10th Senate.
The APC candidate called on other aspirants who participated in the primary election to join hands with him in ensuring victory for the ruling party at the forthcoming by-election, stressing that the real winner of the exercise remained the APC.
Faduyile further urged party members and supporters across Ondo South to remain united and committed to the success of the party, while also reaffirming support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.
He assured the people of Ondo South of quality representation and pledged to work towards the continued growth and development of the senatorial district.
