The Minister of Youth Affairs, Hon. Ayo Olawande, has urged members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State to remain united and fully mobilise ahead of the party’s forthcoming direct primary elections in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
Olawande made the call during a meeting with party stakeholders and loyalists, where he emphasised the need for grassroots participation and internal unity to ensure the continued dominance of the APC in the state and across the country.
According to the minister, the direct primary process offers every registered party member an opportunity to participate in choosing credible candidates who will represent the APC in future elections. He described the exercise as a democratic avenue that strengthens transparency, fairness, and inclusiveness within the party structure.
He urged party members not to allow personal interests or political differences to divide the APC, stressing that the success of the party depends on collective commitment and loyalty to its ideals.
Olawande also reaffirmed his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, noting that the administration has continued to implement policies and programmes aimed at economic recovery, youth empowerment, infrastructure development, and national stability.
The minister commended APC faithful in Ondo State for their dedication and steadfast support for the party over the years, urging them to sustain the momentum by ensuring massive participation during the primaries.
He further called on youths within the party to remain active in political processes and support leaders committed to advancing development and good governance.
