The Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA) has announced the appointment of a new Technical Committee aimed at strengthening football development and improving the standard of the game across the state.
Among those appointed into the committee is Johnson B. Perez, President of Royal-Goldwin Soccer Academy, who described his appointment as a privilege and pledged to serve with dedication, professionalism, and integrity.
Speaking shortly after the announcement, Perez expressed appreciation to the leadership of ODSFA for finding him worthy of the responsibility, assuring stakeholders that he would contribute meaningfully toward the growth of football in Ondo State.
“I humbly accept my appointment as a Member of the Ondo State Football Agency Technical Committee. I sincerely appreciate the confidence reposed in me by the agency, and I assure the leadership and football community of my unwavering commitment to excellence, professionalism, and teamwork,” he stated.
Perez further emphasized the importance of collaboration among stakeholders in achieving sustainable football development, noting that grassroots football remains a critical pathway for discovering and nurturing young talents.
He added that the committee would work collectively to introduce innovative ideas and technical strategies capable of enhancing football administration, talent discovery, youth development, and competitive performance within the state.
Responding on behalf of the committees, the chairmen, Pastor Henry and Apostle Patani, appreciated the agency for the opportunity to serve and pledged to work together towards returning ODSFA football clubs to the top-flight leagues in Nigeria.
Also speaking, the agency’s new operational consultant, Oluwatope Ayokunle, popularly known as “Tubaba,” called for greater cooperation among stakeholders in supporting the Owena Whales ahead of the new season.
The newly constituted Technical Committee is expected to provide professional guidance and technical support to the agency in its efforts to reposition football development and create more opportunities for young athletes across Ondo State.
Football stakeholders and sports enthusiasts have continued to commend the initiative, expressing optimism that the committee would bring renewed energy, expertise, and strategic direction to football administration in the state.
