Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has reappointed Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), with the appointment taking immediate effect.
Dr. Fasoranti previously served as SSG until March 30, 2026, when he resigned to contest the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senate primaries for the Ondo Central Senatorial District.
It would be recalled that Dr. Fasoranti resigned his position as SSG to participate in the APC Ondo Central Senatorial primary. He was initially announced as the party’s candidate following the controversial National Assembly primaries in Ondo State. However, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC subsequently reversed the outcome and recognised Mr. Adeniyi Adegbonmire (SAN) as the party’s candidate for the Ondo Central Senatorial District.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, the reappointed SSG brings extensive experience in public administration, policy formulation, and governance.
Governor Aiyedatiwa congratulated Dr. Fasoranti on his reappointment and urged him to justify the confidence reposed in him by serving the people of Ondo State with dedication, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the administration’s Our Ease Agenda.
The appointment takes immediate effect.
