The Ondo State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has congratulated the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Wisdom Olawande, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as a shining light among the younger generation of leaders in Nigeria.
In a statement issued on April 8, 2026 and signed by Nuj secretary, Olaoluwa Meshack. the union commended Olawande for his humility, accessibility, and commitment to bridging the gap between Nigerian youths and the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The NUJ Chairman in the state, Leke Adegbite, described the minister as a dependable and selfless national figure whose character and leadership qualities have continued to stand out.
He particularly appreciated the minister’s intervention in the renovation of the NUJ Press Centre main building in Akure, noting that the gesture has significantly improved the working environment for journalists in the state.
Adegbite also expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for appointing Olawande as Youth Minister, stating that his leadership has been a blessing to both the administration and Nigerian youths at large.
The union concluded by wishing the minister continued success, good health, and greater accomplishments in his service to the nation.
