Chelsea Football Club have announced that the club and head coach Enzo Maresca have mutually agreed to part ways.
The decision was confirmed in a statement released on Thursday, with the club noting that the move was taken in line with its long-term ambitions.
Maresca departs Stamford Bridge after a successful spell in which he guided the Blues to victories in the UEFA Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup—achievements the club described as significant milestones in its recent history.
In a statement on Chelsea’s official website, the club said: “During his time at the Club, Enzo led the team to success in the UEFA Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup. Those achievements will remain an important part of the Club’s recent history, and we thank him for his contributions to the Club.”
Chelsea did not immediately announce a replacement or provide further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the decision.
The club is expected to communicate its next steps in due course as preparations continue for the upcoming season.
