The Executive Chairman of Akure North Local Government Area, Honourable Johnson Ogunbolude, has been conferred with the prestigious title of Grand Patron by the Federation of Iju Students’ Union (FISU).
The honour was bestowed during the Yuletide season as part of activities recognising excellence and outstanding contributions to community development. The students’ body described the award as a testament to the chairman’s consistent commitment and unwavering support for students’ advancement and youth development across Akure North.
According to FISU, the recognition reflects the chairman’s role as a dependable pillar of support for students in the local government area, noting that his leadership has continued to inspire hope and progress among the youth.
Responding to the honour, Honourable Ogunbolude expressed gratitude to the students for the recognition and kind gesture. He advised them to uphold good conduct, shun moral decadence, and avoid all forms of violence.
The chairman reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to education and youth empowerment, pledging continued support for initiatives that promote academic excellence and social development within Akure North Local Government.
