The Management and Staff of Democrats News Magazine on Sunday honoured Temitope Adedeji, Senior Reporter with Kaftan TV, as the Ondo State Media Man of the Year, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to journalism and public service.
The award ceremony, held at the Ondo State Housing Corporation Hall, Ijapo Estate, Akure, drew notable personalities including captains of industry, political leaders, university scholars, and traditional rulers.
In his keynote address, Editor-in-Chief of Democrats News Magazine, Alaba Aliu, said the recipients were carefully selected based on integrity, excellence, and their positive impact across various fields.
“We consciously selected these outstanding men and women whose leadership, service, and innovation inspire a better tomorrow,” he stated.
Aliu described Prince Temitope Adedeji as a patriotic Nigerian who has distinguished himself in the journalism profession, standing tall as a reporter of courage, conscience, and dedication to the masses.
According to him, Adedeji’s words and works continue to enlighten, inspire, and empower the public, making him deserving of the Distinguished Leadership Award as Ondo State Media Man of the Year.
Other award recipients included Comrade Ayorinde Omotayo, Chairman of the Local Government Service Commission; Deaconess Bolajoko Modupe Alabi, Proprietress of Oore Ofe Group of Schools; the Chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (NIEEE), Akure Chapter; and His Royal Majesty Oba Benjamin Olufemi Omoleewo, the Elekun of Ilekun Kingdom, among others.
