At the 2025 CAF Awards in Rabat, Morocco, Achraf Hakimi was honored as the African Footballer of the Year, in recognition of his outstanding season with Paris Saint-Germain, where he helped capture multiple trophies.
In a parallel triumph for Nigeria, Chiamaka Nnadozie claimed the Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award for the third year in a row, underscoring her consistency and impact for both her club and country.
On the men’s goalkeeping front, Morocco’s Yassine Bounou took home CAF Goalkeeper of the Year, adding to the country’s strong showing at the awards.
The ceremony celebrated top talents across African football and highlighted Nigeria’s continued excellence on the continent.
