The Lagos State Government has announced an eight-month traffic diversion along the Lekki–Ajah corridor to enable the rehabilitation and upgrading of the ever-busy road.
According to a statement issued by the state Commissioner for Transportation, the diversion will take effect from Monday, November 18, 2025, and will last for approximately eight months.
The project is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to improve road infrastructure and ease vehicular movement within the Lekki–Epe axis.
Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes such as the Lekki Coastal Road, Mobil Road, and Orchid Road during the construction period. Traffic officers and LASTMA personnel will be deployed to key intersections to ensure smooth traffic flow and reduce gridlock.
The government appealed for the cooperation of residents, commuters, and business owners within the corridor, assuring that the temporary inconvenience would lead to a more durable and efficient road network upon completion.
