The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has issued strict guidelines for candidates participating in its forthcoming Computer-Based Test (CBT) recruitment examination.
According to the service, the exercise will be conducted under webcam supervision, and any breach of examination conduct could lead to automatic submission of a candidate’s script.
Candidates are advised to:
- Sit in a quiet environment free of people, noise, or movement.
- Ensure a strong internet connection before starting the test.
- Use a SIM card not frequently used for calls or activate the “Do Not Disturb” (DND) mode to avoid disruptions.
- Avoid looking around or turning their eyes away from the screen during the exam.
- Prevent anyone from passing behind them or engaging them in conversation while the test is ongoing.
The Customs Service warned that once the examination begins, any loss of internet connection will result in automatic submission after a few minutes. Similarly, candidates who look away from the screen will be flagged by the system — a first-time offense triggers a warning, while a second-time offense results in immediate submission of the test.
The service urged applicants to take note of these rules in order to avoid disqualification and to ensure a smooth examination process
