A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and House of Representatives aspirant for Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency, Dele Omosehin, has called on Christians to renew their commitment to service, sacrifice, and justice as they celebrate Easter.
Omosehin, who is the Lisa of Osooro, made the call in a statement issued on his behalf by the Asejere Media Team on Sunday, felicitating Christians in Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency, Ondo State, and across the country.
He described Easter as more than a celebration, noting that it is a solemn reminder of the ultimate sacrifice made for truth, justice, and redemption through the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
According to him, the Easter message remains timely, especially as Nigeria faces insecurity and leadership challenges. He stressed that Christ’s life exemplified courage, sacrifice, and a firm stand against injustice.
“Christ did not shy away from confronting injustice. He stood for truth, bore the burden of the people, and through sacrifice delivered hope and restoration. This is the standard we must demand from leadership,” he said.
The APC aspirant urged Nigerians to move beyond passive faith by embracing the values of selflessness, speaking against injustice, supporting credible leadership, and committing to community service.
He emphasized the need for leaders who prioritize the collective good over personal interests, noting that such qualities reflect the true spirit of Easter—service, responsibility, and transformative leadership.
Omosehin further encouraged Christians to use the season as an opportunity to promote justice, equity, and shared prosperity, expressing optimism about the nation’s future.
“The resurrection of Christ assures us that no situation is beyond redemption. Nigeria shall rise. Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency shall rise too,” he stated.
He wished all Christians a reflective, purposeful, and blessed Easter celebration.
