Plateau United winger, Vincent Temitope, continued his fine run of form with yet another sensational goal, helping his side to a 2-0 victory over Barau FC in a thrilling Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Round 8 encounter.
Amietimi broke the deadlock in the 52nd minute, finishing off a swift team move to give Plateau United the lead. Just five minutes later, Vincent Temitope doubled the advantage with a sensational strike that left fans on their feet.
Temitope, who has become known for his trademark finish, struck in the second half with a breathtaking effort , whipping the ball from the left flank with his right foot into the far corner, leaving the Barau FC goalkeeper stranded.
The winger’s brilliant curler extended Plateau United’s lead and sealed all three points for the home side, drawing loud applause from fans at the stadium.
Football analysts have described Temitope’s latest goal as a continuation of his “magic touch,” reminiscent of his stunning strike against Kwara United, which is already contested as Goal of the Season last term.
