Paris Saint-Germain star Ousmane Dembele has been crowned the 2025 men’s Ballon d’Or winner, capping off a stellar season that saw him guide the French giants to an unprecedented quadruple.
The 28-year-old winger, who netted 35 goals and provided 16 assists in the 2024/25 campaign, outshone Barcelona’s rising prodigy Lamine Yamal and Brazilian forward Raphinha to claim his first-ever Ballon d’Or on Monday night at the Théâtre du Chatelet in Paris.
Dembele’s heroics were instrumental in PSG’s historic run, delivering their maiden UEFA Champions League title alongside Ligue 1, French Cup, and French Super Cup victories. He now becomes the first Frenchman to win the prestigious prize since Karim Benzema in 2021.
In the women’s category, Barcelona midfielder Aitana Bonmati cemented her dominance by winning her third consecutive Ballon d’Or Femeni, further solidifying her status as the best in the women’s game.
Elsewhere, Barcelona teenager Lamine Yamal collected the Kopa Trophy for the best U21 player for the second year running, while Sporting CP striker Victor Gyokeres scooped the Gerd Müller Award for best striker. PSG’s Gianluigi Donnarumma also shone, winning the Yashin Trophy as the world’s best goalkeeper.

The 2025 Ballon d’Or gala highlighted both familiar champions and rising stars, showcasing another remarkable year in global football.
