President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reinstated Professor Nenibarini Zabbey as the Project Coordinator of the Hydrocarbon Pollution Remediation Project (HYPREP). The announcement which was made today through a press statement from the State House, reflected a swift change in leadership following recent appointments.
Last week, President Tinubu had appointed a new coordinator, Femi Adekambi, to oversee HYPREP. However, after a thorough performance review, the President concluded that Professor Zabbey was better suited to lead the project.
The State House press release, signed by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media & Publicity, emphasized that the review found Professor Zabbey fit to discharge his duties in accordance with the regulations governing HYPREP. The reinstatement takes immediate effect, signaling a prompt return to continuity under Zabbey’s leadership.
