Chairman of Akure North Local Government, Johnson Ogunbolude, has applauded Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for flagging off the Akure–Imafon Road Project, describing it as a testament to his people-focused leadership.
Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, Ogunbolude said the project would greatly enhance transportation and boost economic activities in the area.
He reaffirmed the total support of Akure North for the governor’s administration, noting that Aiyedatiwa’s developmental drive reflects genuine commitment to the welfare of the people.
Ogunbolude assured residents that they remain at the centre of his administration’s priorities, adding that his leadership will continue to pursue all-round development across Akure North during his tenure.
The Olumafon of Imafon, Oba Aliu Adegbehingbe, also expressed profound gratitude to Governor Aiyedatiwa for turning the community’s appeal into action.
He recalled that during the governor’s visit to Imafon last year at about 11:30 p.m., Aiyedatiwa had promised to fix the road. “It’s not up to a year now, and they have done a wonderful job,” the monarch said.
