Super Eagles Head Coach, Eric Sekou Chelle, has released a 31-man provisional list for Nigeria’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda and South Africa in September.
The list features captain William Troost-Ekong, goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, midfield maestro Alex Iwobi, defensive rock Calvin Bassey, and star forward Victor Osimhen. Also included are Ademola Lookman, Wilfred Ndidi, Simon Moses, Ola Aina, Bright Osayi-Samuel, and Nathan Tella, among others.
Rising stars like Benjamin Fredericks, Ebenezer Harcourt, Christantus Uche, and Felix Agu have also been handed opportunities, while Terem Moffi, Chidozie Awaziem, and Adebayo Adeleye return to the fold.
Nigeria, currently fourth in Group C, will face Rwanda on September 6 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, before travelling to Bloemfontein for a clash with South Africa on September 9.
The Super Eagles’ camp opens in Uyo on September 1, with the matches seen as decisive in reviving Nigeria’s qualification hopes for the 2026 Mundial.
