Super Falcons centre-back Tosin Demehin has signed a contract extension with Galatasaray Women’s Football Club, rewarding a brilliant debut season with the Turkish giants.
The 23-year-old Nigerian international joined Galatasaray in the summer of 2024 from French side Stade de Reims and quickly established herself as a defensive leader. She made 26 appearances across all competitions, scoring once, and played a pivotal role in Galatasaray’s fourth-place finish in the Turkish Women’s Super League.
Demehin’s consistency also shone on the continental stage, where she featured prominently in the club’s historic maiden campaign in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
On the international front, the Akure-born defender was a key figure in Nigeria’s record-extending 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) triumph in Morocco. She started every match for the Super Falcons and marked her first major tournament with a milestone goal in Nigeria’s 5-0 quarter-final victory over Zambia.
Her new deal secures her place as one of Galatasaray’s cornerstone players, while also making her one of two Nigerians on the Istanbul-based club’s books, alongside Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, who recently completed a high-profile move to the men’s team
