The Ondo State Government has expressed satisfaction with the ongoing construction of the ultra-modern Judiciary Complex in Akure, pledging continued support to ensure its timely completion.
During an unscheduled inspection on Tuesday, led by the Commissioner for Infrastructure, Lands and Housing, Engr. Ayorinde Abiola Olawoye, top officials from the ministry lauded the quality of work delivered by the contractor, Westfield Global Construction Ltd.
The complex, named in honour of the late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, will house modern facilities including a ceremonial court, modular courts, a registry, library, exhibition spaces, utility buildings, and ample parking.
Speaking after the visit, Engr. Olawoye commended the absence of any structural defects, noting that all integrity and quality tests had been passed. He praised the supervisory team and consultants for their consistent presence on site and urged the contractor to increase the pace of work by deploying more manpower.
“The Governor is eager to commission this project to enhance the dispensation of justice and improve the welfare of judicial officers. The project is dear to His Excellency, and we expect its timely delivery,” Olawoye said.
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who had inspected the project earlier in May, reaffirmed his satisfaction with the progress, describing it as a testament to Westfield Global Construction’s commitment to excellence. He said the new complex would provide a more conducive environment for judicial activities in the state.
Founder of Westfield Global Construction Ltd, Abdulwasiu Adebisi, thanked the Governor for his support and assured that the company would sustain its efforts to meet the delivery timeline.
“We appreciate Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership, which has enabled us to work efficiently. We remain committed to completing this project on schedule,” Adebisi stated.
The project has been widely praised as a significant step in improving the state’s judicial infrastructure and reinforcing Ondo State’s commitment to justice delivery.
